Members of the media are advised that the 43th annual Business Day Conference will take place on Friday, March 7, 2008, at the Fairmont Newfoundland. The conference will begin at 8 a.m. and close at 12:30 p.m. Each year the graduating business class organizes a conference for both students and the business community. The theme for this year's conference is Breaking New Ground. The guest speakers for the event are:
9:10 a.m. Paul Oram, minister of Business
9:25 a.m. Dr. TA Loeffler, Memorial professor and mountaineer
9:40 a.m. Brad White, VP North American Equities, Salida Capital
10 a.m. Wade Dawe, president and CEO, Linear Gold Corp
10:30 a.m. Noel O’Dea, president, Target Marketing.
Host: Krysta Rudofsky, CBC
Media are invited to attend all or part of the conference. Media outlets will be provided with one complimentary ticket that will cover the cost of breakfast.
Additional tickets for the luncheon can be purchased from the Business Day committee. If you are planning to attend the luncheon, RSVP to the Business Day Committee at 737-8519 by noon on Tuesday, March 4.
