Four distinguished Memorial University alumni to be honoured at gala awards ceremony

The Alumni Association of Memorial University presents the 26th Annual Alumni Tribute Awards.
WHAT:
Retired businessman and active philanthropist Darryl Fry: Lifetime Achievement Award
Marlene Shehata, pharmacist intern and part-time professor of pharmacology: Horizon Award.
Community activist and social worker Jocelyn Greene: Outstanding Community Service award
Dr. Wayne Gulliver: J.D. Eaton Award for exceptional leadership and outstanding service to the university
WHERE:
R. Gushue Hall, St. John’s Campus, Memorial University Parking in Lot 15
WHEN:
Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007 Reception at 6:30 p.m. Dinner at 7:30 p.m.
WHY:
Media are invited to attend this event, enjoy a fun evening, meet the four notable recipients, and network with alumni and friends of Memorial for future story ideas. There will be approximately 250 people in attendance representing various industrial and business sectors, community organizations, and the university.
