SUBJECT: PSA: Dr. Margaret MacMillan to give Galbraith Lecture

Renowned historian and best-selling author Dr. Margaret MacMillan will give Memorial's Galbraith Lecture on Monday, Jan. 29. In this public talk, she will speak about how history shapes the present, and how decisions made today will influence future generations. Dr. MacMillan is a history professor at the University of Toronto and the provost of Trinity College. She is also the author of the internationally acclaimed book Paris 1919: Six Months that Changed the World, and the recently released Nixon in China: The Week that Changed the World. Her Jan. 29 lecture takes place at 8 p.m. in the Inco Innovation Centre, Lecture Theatre 2001, on Memorial's St. John's campus. Questions will be invited from the audience and a reception will follow the event.
