SUBJECT: Newfoundland team progresses to semi-finals at World Cup competition in France

The ACE Memorial team has emerged successfully from the first round of competition at the SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) World Cup, beating out teams from Germany, Botswana, Kyrgyzstan and China. Fifteen members of the ACE Memorial team are currently in Paris, France competing against teams from 48 other countries.
ACE Memorial is competing in the semi-finals tomorrow against teams from Mexico, the Philippines, and China. The final round of competition will then be comprised of four teams, the winner from each semi-final league.
The ACE Memorial presentation, which incorporated PowerPoint, music and video clips was well received at the first round of competition and Dr. Gary Gorman, dean of the Faculty of Business, described their presentation as “flawless”.
