On April 27, the Faculty of Business Administration will present awards to two business people who have made significant contributions to their community at the 22nd annual Partners dinner. Sharon Duggan, B. Sc. ’75 and MBA ’93, will receive the faculty’s 2005 Alumni Honour Award. Ms. Duggan is vice-president, Customer Services,Transformation, and Development at Aliant.
Paul Burt, B. Comm. (Co-op) (Hons.) ’86 and owner of P.S. Atlantic Limited (Paint Shop) will receive the P. J. Gardiner Institute’s 2006 Newfoundland and Labrador Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
The event will be held on Thursday, April 27 at 6:45 p.m. at The Fairmont Newfoundland; dinner will start at 7:30 p.m. The awards will be presented after the dinner portion of the event and recipients will be available for interviews and photos. Media are invited to attend all or part of the event. For tickets, RSVP to Roma Bowen by April 25 by calling 737-2182 or e-mailing rbowen@mun.ca.
