SUBJECT: PSA: Famous computer scientist comes to Memorial University

World-renowned computer scientist and mathematician Dr. Lotfi Zadeh of the University of California at Berkeley will present a special lecture at Memorial University next week.
Dr. Zadeh is most famous for his theory of fuzzy logic, a form of logic in which variables can have degrees of truth or falsehood. Fuzzy logic is widely applied in electronic appliances in daily use.
Dr. Zadeh will deliver a talk titled From Search Engines to Question-Answer Systems: The Problems of World Knowledge, Relevance, Deduction and Precisiation on Wednesday, March 15, at 7:30 p.m. in room IIC-2001 in the Inco Innovation Centre.
Admission to the public lecture is free. Parking is available in Area 18.
