• High-precision U-Pb geochronology, mainly using zircon and baddeleyite, mainly on the TIMS

• Rates of igneous processes

• Large Igneous Provinces and their metallogenic potential

• Timing and tempo of biotic evolution and extinction

• Precambrian paleocontinental reconstruction

• Nanoscale mineralogical processes affecting geochronometers
