Why did you choose Memorial for graduate studies?
The program exactly met my needs to continue in my Information Technology career. I knew of Memorial’s excellent reputation because my daughter completed her undergrad there.

What was your degree program?
Master of Technology Management (MTM)

How would you describe your experience as a graduate student at Memorial?
Although much of my program was online, I met many other students through our coursework. We still keep in touch!

What were some of your accomplishments during your graduate degree?
The degree program allowed me to work with my supervising professor to complete the program requirements and enhance my knowledge in an area that was new and exciting. I did quite a bit of investigation and learning about cryptocurrencies.

What are you doing now after having graduated with your master’s degree/PhD?
Currently, I work for a federal Crown corporation, Export Development Canada. I work as a director in the digital technology solutions area.

Did you get a job directly after graduating?
I was already working full-time.

How did your graduate program help prepare you for your current job?
The Master of Technology Management curriculum had practical learnings that helped me investigate, design and implement new and innovative ways of working.

How did Memorial help to get you where you are today?
I still refer to my course notes! The program was very relevant then and now.

What advice do you have for current and/or future graduate students?
Do what you love, and grow yourself and the people around you by embracing lifelong learning!
