EHS has developed an orientation for low risk contractors and other guests or visitors who may be coming to campus. The access to campus health and safety orientation is available here and should be reviewed to ensure a healthy and safe work, teaching and learning environment.

October 10 is internationally recognized as World Mental Health Day - a day to raise awareness about mental health and mental illness. Good mental health is important not just at home and in our communities, but also in the workplace and classroom. Resources are available at Memorial.

THe Office of the Chief Risk Officer and Facilities Management has developed a university-wide Contractor Safety Management procedure. This document will provide guidance for contractor safety management at the university. The proposed draft procedure is currently available for consultation.
Members of theuniversity community are invited to review the procedure. Feedback is welcome and may be directed to Environmental Health and Safety (health.safety@mun.ca) until Nov.1.

The Office of the Chief Risk Officer has developed a university-wide Health and Safety Management System manual. This document will provide guidance for environmental health and safety at the University. The proposed draft manual is currently available for consultation. Members of the University community are invited to review the draft manual here .
