Connecting the university and community

A big part of the work we do at the Harris Centre is connecting researchers, faculty and students at Memorial to local, national and international networks. These actions support the university's strategic plan in terms of global reach and commentment to communities. 

Among these organizations are:

• UArctic, a network of universities, colleges, research institutes, and other organizations concerned with education and research in and about the North.  Read more about our partnership with UArctic here and our work with the Northern and Arctic Island Studies Network.
• North Atlantic Forum
• RETI, Réseau d'Excellence des Territoires Insulaires (Network of Excellence for Island Universities)
• Research Impact Canada, a pan-Canadian network dedicated to maximizing the impact of research for the public good.
• Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundation, a pan-Canadian organziation representing those interested in the future of rural Canada.
