Community Hub Programming Fund

Have an idea for a workshop or a program you would like to offer through the Community Hubs? We can help!

The Community Hubs Programming Fund is designed to encourage Memorial University faculty, staff and students to develop original programming to be delivered at one or more of the Community Hubs locations throughout the province. The Community Hubs are community-based facilities located in towns throughout the province that have partnered with Memorial University to foster a space for connecting with the university - this could mean providing a space for students (of all ages!) to gather and learn together, or a space for the community to collaborate on key issues and connect with Memorial resources, research and learning. The Community Hubs Programming Fund is intended to spark innovative ideas for programming that could help strengthen that partnership and provide even more ways for Memorial to contribute to communities.

A total of $50,000 has been allotted for this fiscal year (2024/25), with up to $10,000 available per initiative. Programming can be delivered in person, remotely, or through a hybrid model. The Hubs and their patrons are interested in everything from health promotion to art classes to cyber security to journaling for mental health and everything else in between!

Feel free to reach out to us with any questions (at harriscentre@mun.ca) or if you'd like a sounding board for your idea before you apply.
