My teaching interests, like my research, include a range of fields in both literary and visual culture, from Canadian literature to graphic narrative, gender and writing to poetics of the image.

As a teacher, I set out to stimulate excitement in the topic and encourage students to reflect on important issues that are never really as dated as one may think. Ultimately, I feel it is my responsibility to guide students in the devleopment of their own critical voice. To this end, I aim to create an environment where a diverse student population has equal access to learning and feels comfortable to participate actively in the classroom.
