New Faculty and Instructor Orientation provides new and recently appointed faculty members and per course instructors with critical information and resources to support teaching and research at Memorial.

We are busy planning the 2024-25 orientation program for fall 2024 for new faculty and instructors at Grenfell Campus, Labrador Campus, Marine Institute and the St. John’s campus.

Events planned include: 

- Teaching Development Days - August 27-29
- Meet and Greet with the President - September 23
- Research @Memorial - October 2
- Supporting Faculty, Supporting Students - date TBD
- Faculty Relations and MUNFA (promotion and tenure) - date TBD
- Benefits and Pensions - date TBD

Topics that will be covered include:

- important dates and deadlines during the academic year
- academic technologies, and eLearning support
- strategies for navigating teaching and research
 - case studies and panel discussion on supporting students, equity and accessibility
 - maneuvering the promotion and tenure process
