The process to appoint members of the Collegial Governance Committee, which was established in response to the letter of understanding to review collegial governance at Memorial, part of the MUNFA Collective Agreement 2023-2026, is complete.

As previously communicated, the committee structure outlines that there will be two representatives from the Board of Regents; one academic staff member (ASM) and two academic administrators from Senate; two ASMs chosen by MUNFA; and, two student representatives.

The following individuals will serve on the committee:

Dr. Lee Ann McKivor, University Registrar
Dr. Lourdes Pena-Castillo (Computer Science/Biology)
Vicky Quao, GCSU representative
Dr. Ian Sutherland, vice-president (Grenfell Campus) pro tempore
Eleanor Swanson, Board of Regents
Dr. Robin Whitaker (Anthropology)

The committee’s work will be supported by the University Governance Secretariat, and further information will be shared with the university community as work progresses.
