Memorial University and the Lecturers Union of Memorial University of Newfoundland (LUMUN) began meeting in spring 2023 for the renewal of a revised collective agreement. Several collective bargaining sessions have taken place over the past few months and the two parties are engaged in positive dialogue on language in several Articles of the collective agreement. Additional dates to continue collective bargaining have been scheduled for January 2024. The university is committed to negotiating a renewed collective agreement that is acceptable to both parties.
