Memorial University is seeking an inspirational and dynamic leader as its next Dean for the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science. Reporting to the Provost and Vice-President (Academic), the Dean is a senior member of Memorial University's leadership team and is responsible for fostering excellence in innovation, research, service, and undergraduate and graduate education within the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science.

In accordance with Procedures Governing the Appointment, Review, Promotion and Tenure of Academic Administrators, a search committee has been established for the role of dean, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science.

Elected members:

- Dr. Ahmed Elruby, assistant professor, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering
- Nicole Myers, ASM-CE, Engineering Cooperative Education
- Dr. Bruce Quinton, deputy head, Department of Ocean and Naval Architectural Engineering
- Dr. Noori Saady, associate professor, Department of Civil Engineering

Appointed members:

- Dr. Stuart Carney, dean, Faculty of Medicine
- Dr. Lihong Zhang, head, Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering
- Adrienne MacGowan, senior undergraduate student, Process Engineering
- Dr. Jennifer Lokash, provost and vice-president (academic), chair

The committee has begun meeting and will consult and engage with the university community as their work progresses.
