Social Changemaker Space

The Social Changemaker Space is designed to be a hub of innovation and collaboration for students, faculty and staff of Memorial University as well as community partners.

Officially launched in September 2023, the Social Changemaker Space is located in the Faculty of Business Administration, BN-4015. It’s home to the staff of the Centre for Social Enterprise (CSE), and the Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Social Enterprise, Dr. John Schouten.

This space is primarily for:

  • Students doing coursework on social enterprise, social innovation and social entrepreneurship;
  • Student-social entrepreneurs participating in the Social Ventures Incubator;
  • Faculty or community partners who work with the Centre for Social Enterprise (CSE).

These activities take priority for booking the space.

However, we welcome all students from Memorial, and community partners of the CSE, to use the space according to the General Guidelines for Use

The Social Changemaker Space is open weekdays from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (excluding Memorial staff holidays). Come by to avail of our facilities or talk to our team members and explore opportunities within social innovation.
