Public Engagement Facilities and Equipment
This is a list of available physical (e.g., meeting rooms, conference venues, and laboratories) and virtual (online rooms and services) spaces aimed at supporting public engagement initiatives. The resources listed include opportunities for renting equipment as well, including tools and technology to connect with partners organizations and facilitate the establishment of collaborative projects.
The list of resources is a living document that we hope to keep updating over the years. Autonomous Ocean System Centre, Core Research Equipment & Instrument Training Network (CREAIT)
The Autonomous Ocean Systems Centre (AOSCENT) is a collaborative node of the CREAIT network focused on providing autonomous solutions for marine applications ranging from unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) to ships and unmanned surface marine craft.
Bonne Bay Aquarium and Research Station, Grenfell Campus
Our facility is the primary field research station for Memorial University in western Newfoundland. We are well placed to act as a hub for research anywhere on the Northern Peninsula whether you are a Marine Biologist, Terrestrial Ecologist, Oceanographer, Biogeochemist, Geographer or Geologist. You do not need to be a member of Memorial University in order to use us as a staging point for your research. Our facility is well-equipped with small research vessels, a range of sampling equipment, and a laboratory equipped with a fume hood.
The Bonne Bay Aquarium and Research Station also offers an array of conference facilities and accommodations.

Centre for Chemical Analysis, Research and Training, Core Research Equipment & Instrument Training Network (CREAIT)
C-CART provides research support, training and chemical analysis services, to undergraduate and graduate students, university researchers, government agencies and private sector R&D companies. The instruments associated with C-CART are grouped into four service areas: Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), X-Ray Crystallography (XRD), Mass Spectrometry (MS) and Materials Characterization (MC).

Micro Analyisis Facility, Core Research Equipment & Instrument Training Network (CREAIT)
MAF specializes in high-resolution imaging and in-situ microbeam chemical analysis and age dating of minerals and other materials such as environmental and archaeological samples. The Facility has ongoing research and development projects on ore characterization for metallurgy and advanced mineral exploration but aims to support a wide range of research throughout the university and beyond.

TERRA provides chemical and physical analyses utilizing a large variety of instrumentations, including ICP-MS, XRF, XRD, Microprobe, radiogenic isotope, and stable isotope mass spectrometers.
