Board of Regents Approves New Policy and Deletion of Another Policy
At its meeting held on May 7, 2015, the Board of Regents approved the adoption of a new
Weapons
policy. This policy provides governance relating to weapons on university property and is in effect immediately.
At that same meeting, the Board of Regents also approved the deletion of the Memorial University Pension Plan Participation by Contractual Employees policy. The Memorial University Pensions Act provides for the establishment of policy directives. On January 1, 2014, policy directive Number 5 was issued to set the terms and conditions of pension plan participation by contractual employees. This Directive replaces and reflects the spirit and intent of the former University policy.
