MUN Philosophy

The department's most recent hire is Dr. Shannon Hoff, who specializes in Hegel, feminism and social and political philosophy. Dr. Hoff is also the president of the Canadian Society for Continental philosophy and moved moved here from Toronto. She began teaching at Memorial in September, 2015, and teaches courses in feminist philosophy, social and political philosophy, and the history of philosophy generally. She has written a book, The Laws of the Spirit: A Hegelian Theory of Justice, and she has just recorded a CD with her band, Don’t Worry Darlin’
