Visitors


 

Memorial University offers Pay-Per-Use Parking throughout its St. John's campus. There are over 450 user pay spaces available on campus.

Visitor parking permits may be issued at the discretion of the Parking Office. Host departments, faculties, and units may submit a Visitor Parking Request on behalf of the Visitor, or the Visitor may submit the request directly.

Request(s) for a Visitor Parking Permit through the online Visitor Parking Request form. Visitors unable to access the form may email the Parking Office with their request at parking@mun.ca.

Once the request is processed, the parking permit will be sent electronically directly to the Visitor.

 

Notice: The Parking Office requires a minimum of four (4) business hours to process Visitor Parking Requests. 

Requests that do not provide enough notice may not be processed.  In this situationThe Visitor is directed to use pay-per-use parking. 

 

Enforcement

Visitor Parking Permits are only valid for the duration and location specified on the permit issued by the Parking Office.  Visitors who park outside the specifications of the Visitor Parking Permit constitute a parking violation under the Memorial University TrafficMemorial UniversityTraffic and Parking Regulations, and a parking ticket may be issued.

For small events on Campus with 10 or fewer Visitors, parking requests can be processed through the Visitor Parking Request form.  Hosting Faculties and Departments may submit requests on the Visitor's behalf.

For events with 10 or more Visitors who require parking, parking requests must be submitted to parking@mun.ca for review and consideration.
