Students
Student parking permits for weekday parking (7 am-3 pm) are distributed through a parking lottery.
The number of permits available is limited; entry into the parking lottery is only available to students who meet the following entry requirements:
- Undergraduate students: Registered with at least 48 credit hours completed
- Graduate Students: Registered
- Medical students: Registered

Important Information

Graduate and undergraduate students have separate parking lotteries.

Permits are randomly allocated by the computerized draw. You are not guaranteed that you will receive a permit in one of the preferred areas you selected.

Permits are sold for the duration of the current semester only.

Vehicle registration and student ID must be presented at the point of purchase.

Permits can only be issued to the individual that won it in the lottery, permits are non-transferrable.
Evening and weekend permits are available to all students; there are no prerequisites and no need to enter the lottery.
Permits are valid from 3:00 p.m. onwards on weekdays (Mon. to Fri.) and all hours on the weekends (Sat. & Sun.).
Evening and weekend permits are available for purchase from the parking office.
Payment can be made by cash, debit, or credit card. You must present your student ID card (or other photo ID) and vehicle registration to purchase a permit.
Student Carpool Permits are available to groups of three to four students who wish to share a single parking permit.
Those interested in applying must complete the Student Car Pool Form and submit it to the Parking Office at parking@mun.ca
All students added to the Carpool Permit must have 48 credit hours.
