Graduate Programs in Ethnomusicology
Memorial offers MA and PhD programs in ethnomusicology, where students study music cultures from around the world and examine central issues in the discipline. Core courses for the program are delivered by the School of Music and the Department of Folklore. MMaP houses the graduate programs and enriches the student experience through its many live events (including conferences, a performance series, a lecture series, and a scholar-in-residence series), opportunities to work on Centre research projects, and the use of its facilities (including a library of print and audio resources and MMaP’s Ethnographic Video and Sound Lab). You can find more about Memorial’s ethnomusicology programs here. A link to the application website can be found on this page.
