We offer many workshops that focus on our Mi'Kmaq beliefs and ways of life and are located in the K'Taqmkuk Mi'Kmaq Historical Museum. Our programming  includes financial health training, archery, sewing, herbal medicine and a weekly tea time for community residents. We have also worked with faculty and students at Memorial University, providing them a location from which to conduct their research. We are inclusive and welcome everyone into our space.

The Cartwright Community Hub is about learning, teaching, working with community group/organizations, and educational institutions. We focus on tradition, passing on knowledge through intergenerational learning, and interacting with elders and youth. We celebrate our culture and heritage and provide space where people can access reliable internet, technology, place to work, study, research while collaborating with partners and community organizations and businesses.

The Lewisporte Community Hub space has seating for 12 but capacity for up to 25. The room includes a boardroom table, with a smart tv and web conferencing ability, and four workstations, each with a computer. Throughout the Institute there are additional spaces available that can be booked through the Community Hub including a classroom and computer lab. We have hosted craft groups, minor hockey organizers, Memorial University students, the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and more!

The Forteau Community Hub focuses on providing individuals with various learning opportunities and social programs.Our programming includes knitting and mending, hydroponics and 3-D printing.

Our Regional Community Closet has been a great success, where we resell gently used clothing for other worthy projects.Our focus is to ensure our events are age-friendly and available to everyone in the Labrador Straits region.

The St. Alban’s Community Hub has partnered with the Bay D’espoir Youth Network to offer programming such as Science Night, Literacy Week, and Reading for Fun. For our older patrons, we offer a walking program in our building's gym. Other programming includes the Bay D’espoir Burlap Buddies (rug hooking group) and story time for our youngest patrons.

The Port aux Basques Community Hub is a welcoming space where we offer various resources & programming opportunities to patrons of all ages. Here individuals can access video conferencing, free wifi & computer use, printing/scanning/faxing services.  

We offer programming such as Wellness Wednesdays, individual study spaces, social media training, budgeting and financial literacy, and creative writing, through groups like the Wreckhouse Youth Group and the Murphy Centre.

The Emera Innovation Exchange (EIX) Community Hub is the public engagement and innovation space at Memorial University’s Signal Hill Campus. Our facility provides a creative collaborative space with a selection of meeting rooms available for booking with full A/V capabilities. These rooms can accommodate up to 10 people and are available Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) during the business hours of 9 am to 4 pm. Please note that certain restrictions apply. Rooms are only able to be booked 10 days in advance and only one room is available per day per group.

The Baie Verte Community Hub is partnering with local medical outlets to offer seniors’ health services online, and conduct training sessions for seniors and homecare workers on how to use virtual health care apps.
