6.3 Bachelor of Physical Education

The Bachelor of Physical Education may be completed on a full-time or part-time basis and requires 120 credit hours as outlined in Table 4 Bachelor of Physical Education.

Critical Reading and Writing (CRW) courses are regulated by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Eligible CRW courses are indicated under Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Course Descriptions.
A student is encouraged to consider the honours regulations outlined under Honours Degree.

6 credit hours in HKR elective courses at the 2000 level or above. A minimum of 24 credit hours in a Minor or an acceptable Academic Discipline. In choosing the minor students must follow the minor regulations of the appropriate Faculty or School. Students must select from and follow the Academic Discipline requirements of the Faculty of Education Bachelor of Education (Intermediate/Secondary), Admission Regulations. No more than 6 credit hours at the 1000 level may be included in the 24 credit-hour Academic Discipline. At least 3 credit hours at the 3000 level or higher must be included in the 24 credit-hour Academic Discipline. |

Additional Requirement At the time of graduation, students require proof of current certification in first aid and CPR. These certifications must be submitted to the School’s Academic Program Officer. |
