In addition to being a student service unit, the Student Wellness and Counselling Centre is an academic unit.

As such, counselling faculty and academic staff members are actively involved in a variety of scholarship activities that acknowledge diverse career paths, traditions and values, ways of knowing and forms of communicating knowledge.

Scholarship includes the scholarship of discovery (i.e. conventional research), the scholarship of integration, the scholarship of application and/or the scholarship of teaching.
