Irving Shipbuilding

The shipbuilders of Irving Shipbuilding have constructed over 80% of Canada’s Navy at sea today. Work is now underway building the next generation of combatant vessels for those who bravely serve. As a partner in the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS) with the federal government, the Halifax Shipyard is at the forefront of shipbuilding in Canada. In 2011, Irving Shipbuilding was selected through the competitive and transparent NSS to construct Canada’s future naval combatant fleet. Since then, we have invested more than $400 million into the Halifax Shipyard to provide Canada with needed shipbuilding capability.

As a direct result of our trusted partnership with the Government of Canada, Irving Shipbuilding is investing in projects that reach beyond our shipyard. We are committed to helping Canadians, investing in Canada's ocean economy to protect our environment, partnering with small businesses, creating programs for underrepresented groups in the workforce, and supporting veterans and military families.

This is a generational opportunity – a chance for our people to have an entire career serving this noble purpose. At Irving Shipbuilding, we’re making history – why not make it with us?
