The associate vice-president (academic) and dean of students provides vision and strategic leadership to the benefit of undergraduate students and academic programming at Memorial. This happens in collaboration with the deans of the eleven faculties and schools on the St. John’s campus, the deans of the three schools at Grenfell Campus, the associate vice-president (Marine Institute) academic and student affairs, and the associate vice-president (academic) and dean of the School of Graduate Studies.

The associate vice-president (academic) and dean of students reports to the provost and vice-president (academic).

The Office of the Associate Vice-President (Academic) and Dean of Students oversees the Student Wellness and Counselling Centre, Student Life and Student Residences and Ancillary Operations.
