Dr. Gail Wideman
Dr. Gail Wideman’s scholarship spans the fields of gerontology and community development.
Throughout her career she has been involved primarily in community based programs and policy development related to maintaining and enhancing independence and quality of life for older persons.
Her current research investigates mechanisms of support for family/friend caregivers providing palliative and end of life care in rural places.
Related to her interest in community capacity building, Gail has also been working with military and civilian researchers, service providers to facilitate collaborative partnerships in support of military and Veteran personnel and their families.
