Tutorial in Field of Practice

This course focuses on the scholar obtaining an in-depth appreciation of a field of social work practice or some focused aspect of the field, selected by the scholar to meet her/his learning goals.

The scholar is expected to demonstrate an ability to think critically about the theory, concepts, practices, and research that give direction to the chosen field of practice.

The scholar is expected to demonstrate an understanding of the field of practice within the context of social work history and philosophy.

The scholar will be mentored by a teacher who has established some expertise in the field of practice.

Prerequisites: SCWK 7010 & SCWK 7020
