Véronique earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Psychology and Criminology (St. Thomas University, 2006), a bachelor of social work degree (St. Thomas University, 2009) and a Master of Social Work degree (Dalhousie, 2010).

She is currently an assistant professor and social work program coordinator at the Université Sainte-Anne in Nova Scotia. She is also a council member of the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers and holds a seat on several community boards (SHYFT Youth Services, Réseau Santé Nouvelle-Écosse). Prior to her work at Université Sainte-Anne, most of Véronique’s social work experience revolves around community-based social work, crisis social work and has 5 years’ experience as a clinical social worker in mental health and addictions (community, hospital and school-based settings).

Her research interests include: rural social work, aging populations, addictions and mental health and community development.
