New Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs
Dr. Sulaimon Giwa is the School of Social Work's new Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs.
The Associate Dean Search Committee recommended Dr. Giwa, who accepted the three-year term appointment.
Dr. Giwa joined the faculty at Memorial University in 2017, where he is an Assistant Professor at the School of Social Work, with a cross-appointment to the Department of Sociology (Police Studies). He is the Endowed Chair in Criminology and Criminal Justice at St. Thomas University, and is an antiracism, equity, diversity, and inclusion trainer and consultant.
