Maxine Paul MSW, RSW, joined the field team as of January 15, 2024, as a Field Education Coordinator in a one year full time contract, filling-in for Lynsey Soper-Thistle who is on parental leave. Maxine is no stranger to the School of Social Work having been a long term per course instructor as well as completing several teaching term contracts.

Maxine obtained both her Bachelor and Master of Social Work at Memorial University of Newfoundland and comes to the field team with a wealth of teaching and clinical experiences. Throughout her career, Maxine practiced in various regions and programs in Newfoundland and Labrador and she worked in British Columbia as a mental health therapist. Maxine has extensive clinical counselling experience through her work with Eastern Health in the trauma and addictions treatment programs and as a private practitioner. Maxine has been a social work educator, having taught in the BSW program at the School of Social Work with Memorial since 2012, and she has over 15 years of experience in developing and delivering educational programs.
