Processing and Institutional Signature on Grants/Contracts

Strategic Institutional Research Initiatives (SIRI) oversees all aspects of the Canada Research Chairs Program (CRC), the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) and other large-scale institutional funding programs. It also promotes and facilitates the nomination of faculty and staff for prestigious honours with the intent of increasing and highlighting Memorial’s reputation and research success.

SIRI also supports Memorial’s CREAIT Network, a university-wide network designed to maximize the impact of Memorial's institutional investments in research through enhanced access to, and utilization of, major research equipment.

Research Grant and Contract Services (RGCS)

Research Grant and Contract Services (RGCS) perform pre- and post-award administration in a “one-stop shop” approach. The pre-award component focuses on the review and approval of research grants and contracts, while the post-award component provides research project management and administrative support for large-scale research programs.

RGCS is the primary point of contact for all research funding applications except the Canada Research Chairs (CRC) and Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) programs. Strategic Institutional Research Initiatives is responsible for the above mentioned programs.
