2005-2006 Winners
Stacey Martin
Program of Study: Pharmacy
What this award means to her: I am honoured to be a recipient of the LIYSF award. It enables me to see how my hard work at university is beneficial. I am excited to represent MUN, my province, and my hometown of Lewisporte. I get the opportunity to learn about other universities, countries and cultures, by interacting with students from all over the world. I am thrilled to expand my definition of science and discover more about this area of study. Thank you to those who made this possible: The Selection Committee, Dr. Lily Walker, and Dr. Robert Lucas.
Christopher Mong
Program of Study: Biochemistry
What this award means to him: After jumping head first into second-year courses, it’s nice to have some benefit come out of being a frosh. I’m honoured that MUN has chosen me as a representative in London this year. I promise that any embarrassment I cause will not escalate into an international fiasco – to say anything more might be lying.
