Healthy & Productive Knowledge Workers: Negotiating Leaves of Absence due to Personal or Familial Mental Health Issues and Returning to Work
A research team led by Dr. Ivy Bourgeault at the Telfer School of Management at University of Ottawa in partnership with Dr. Nicole Power in the Sociology Department, Memorial University has contacted our organization asking us to inform you about an important preliminary study they are conducting. The team is exploring the experiences of people who suffer from mental health issues and how these experiences affect their work lives. They are particularly interested in the decision to continue to work despite these issues or negotiating either short or long terms leaves of absence, how these leaves are accommodated and how return to work is facilitated.
