Public Engagement Postdoctoral Fellow in AgriSafety Research and Knowledge Mobilization
SafetyNet is pleased to introduce Dr. Ewa Dabrowska, Public Engagement Postdoctoral Fellow in AgriSafety Research and Knowledge Mobilization. Jointly appointed to the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Sociology, and the Boreal Ecosystem Research Facility at Grenfell Campus, Dr. Dabrowska will be working with academic supervisors Dr. Barbara Neis, Dr. Zhiwei Gao, and Dr. Adrian Unc to mobilize agricultural safety knowledge strategies to agricultural operators in the province as well as develop a research program focused on agricultural health and safety issues in NL.
Dr. Dabrowska came to Memorial University from the University of Alberta where she taught courses in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and worked as a Manager of Research Support Services with the Faculty of Extension. She actively incorporates her passion for human welfare, safety and research into her current responsibilities. She is also on the Board of Directors of the Community Research Ethics Office (CREO) which provides training and workshops on the ethical conduct of community-based research in Canada.
Dr. Dabrowska's work is jointly funded through Memorial's Office of Public Engagement, Agrivita Canada Inc., (funding from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Growing Forward 2), the Department of Natural Resources, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Faculty of Medicine, the Associate Vice President (Grenfell Campus) Research, and the Office of the Vice President (Research) , Memorial University.
