Journal of Religion and Popular Culture
The Journal of Religion and Popular Culture welcomes a new co- editor, Dr. Jennifer Porter. Co-editorship of JRPC is currently shared by Dr. Jennifer Porter Associate Professor of Religion and Popular Culture at Memorial University of Newfoundland and by Dr. Scott Daniel Dunbar Assistant Professor in the History of Religion Centre for Religious Studies at Monash University. Dr. Jennifer Porter is an Associate Professor of Religion and Popular Culture at Memorial University of Newfoundland. She was part of the editorial board for the Journal of Religion and Popular Culture in 2005, and has served as a peer reviewer for the journal for many years. She is happy to be rejoining the editorial staff of the journal once again. Dr. Porter's areas of research interest include implicit religion, religion and Disney, religion and Star Trek, religion and Star Wars, and and the religious dimensions of fandom. She is the co-editor of Star Trek and Sacred Ground: Explorations of Star Trek, Religion and American Culture, and numerous articles on religion and pop culture topics.
