Instructor for course on Jerusalem
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Laura Jurgens to our department. Dr. Jurgens will be teaching RELS 2180 Jerusalem and the Politics of Sacred Space, an online course that runs this Winter term for only the second time. Spaces are available (CRN 90208).
Laura is a passionate, recent PhD graduate from the Department of Classics and Religion at the University of Calgary. She previously attended St. Francis Xavier University and Saint Mary's University where she obtained a strong foundation in Religious Studies. Her studies focused on Jews, Christians, and Muslims, and Laura specializes in the religions of the West. Her own research explores topics related to Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation. She has taught many courses on the three monotheistic religions, and her previous teaching and current research topics all converge on the same place over time: Jerusalem.
