See the Results of OPE's Evaluation of the Public Engagement Framework
The OPE has completed a comprehensive review of the impacts of the Public Engagement Framework, at Memorial and within Newfoundland and Labrador, since it was adopted in 2012. The Expert Working Group on Public Engagement and the Public Engagement Framework Evaluation Committee have both participated in the planning and execution of the evaluation, and include student, faculty, staff, and public partner representation.
OPE has developed several different elements to share the findings of the evaluation:
- Full Evaluation Report, including including results, case studies, methodology, and appendices.
- Evaluation Report Highlights, offering a more concise overview of the results
- Online dashboard, allowing users to sort the data from the faculty and staff survey according to specific interests
Along with assessing the current state of public engagement at Memorial and providing accountability, the findings will be reflected in the development of Memorial's future public engagement strategies and programming. Planning for the next phase of Memorial's public engagement strategy is now underway.
You can also read a story about this evaluation process in the Gazette.
An Engage Memorial webinar about the evaluation and the future of PE at Memorial will be held on March 28th, at 2:00 pm (NST). More info and registration details are available here.
