Knowledge Mobilization Workshops
2:30 pm - 4:00 pm, Wednesday, May 28th
Knowledge mobilization, also known as KMb, is about getting the lessons and results of research into the hands of people who can use them, all with the end goal of making a positive impact in the world.
Join us for one of two hands-on workshops that will help you learn skills and strategies to help extend the impact of your work. These sessions are being led by colleagues from Research Impact Canada, "a pan-Canadian network dedicated to maximizing the impact of research for the public good."
Workshop 1: Communicating Research:
Learn principles to help communicate your research with a broad range of audiences. This session is appropriate for all experience levels, and will be applicable for both `academic and non-academic staff, and students. This session is available to all registrants, in-person and virtual.
Workshop 2: Collecting and Communicating the Evidence of Impact:
This workshop will help experienced researchers and research administrators collect, quantify and communicate about a body of research over time. It is intended for individuals with a significant research acumen, and is only available to in-person registrants.
These sessions are being presented in partnership between the Office of Public Engagement, the Harris Centre and Research Impact Canada. To learn more about our workshop leaders, Michael Johnny and Krista Jensen, please take a look at our presenters page.
