Bio

Dr. Michelle Kuenzi is Professor of Political Science at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Adjunct Professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Specializing in African politics, Dr. Kuenzi studies democracy and democratization in Africa as well as other regions of the world. Dr. Kuenzi’s scholarly contributions encompass a range of topics, including political behavior, voter turnout, political party systems, and electoral dynamics in Africa. Her current research projects focus on the electoral performance of incumbent presidents, the effects of remittances on political attitudes, and crime and attitudes toward democracy in Africa.
