Accessibility and Accomodation
Memorial’s Employment Equity Office administers the university’s employment equity policy and supports a diverse and accessible workplace. This office offers diversity training opportunities and can provide additional information on Memorial’s inclusive policies and procedures.
The university attempts to accommodate the employment needs of employees who are protected under the Human Rights Act, 2010, up to the point of undue hardship. For information on requesting a workplace accommodation see the workplace accommodation policy here. The workplace accommodation request form can be accessed here.
For information on physical accessibility on Memorial’s campuses see the University’s Campus Physical Accessibility Guide. This guide covers the main campus in St. John's and Grenfell Campus in Corner Brook. It identifies the most accessible routes, entrances, telephones, and facilities for people with mobility, hearing, visual, and other disabilities.
