Privacy
The University as a public institution is committed to openness, accountability and transparency in all of its activities. The university is guided by and bound by federal and provincial laws regulating access to information and protection of privacy. It is also committed to protecting the privacy of its students, employees, alumni, donors, research participants, retirees and others whose personal information is in the University's custody or control and upholds applicable privacy legislation governing the collection, use and disclosure of personal information.
The Information Access and Privacy (IAP) Office is responsible for implementing guidelines, policies, and procedures to establish best practices and ensure compliance with the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act (ATIPP) and other legislation pertinent to access and privacy at the University.
