Students in distress and conflict in the workplace

Introducing the new Brightspace course ‘Dealing with Students in Distress and Conflict in the Workplace’. This course is offered for faculty and staff of Memorial University to gain an understanding of supports and services available at the university when dealing with students in distress and conflict in the workplace. The course is intended to be a high level overview of how to identify students in distress, how to de-escalate situations, recognize psychological hazards in the workplace and how to seek assistance. A list of further courses and resources are provided at the end. It takes approximately a half hour to complete. Upon successful completion of the 10 question multiple choice quiz at the end with an 80 per cent or higher, you will gain a new badge.
