Memorial University Nursing Collaboration for Evidence-Based Health Care: A JBI Affiliated Group
The Faculty of Nursing has built a collaborative relationship with the JBI, based at the University of Adelaide, Australia, as a JBI Affiliated Group.
Marking the five-year anniversity in 2021, Drs. Sandra Small and Karen Parsons, Convenor of our JBI Affiliated Group, drafted this article to celebrate the milestone. The JBI is a world-wide collaboration to promote the synthesis, transfer and utilization of research evidence to improve healthcare outcomes internationally.
Says Dr. Parsons, "I encourage all faculty members who are not JBI-trained to consider doing so. It is indeed a wonderful experience and opportunity!"
The Faculty of Nursing has a number of faculty members qualified to conduct systematic reviews of qualitative and quantitative research, according to the rigorous methods of the JBI.
By engaging in such work, the Faculty has an opportunity to make important contributions to health care and nursing practice. Below is a sample of some of our work:
