Admission

The deadline to apply is January 15 every year for intake in the Fall semester. Late applications will not be considered.

Applicants to the Post Master's Nurse Practitioner Graduate Diploma program must:

  1. Have a bachelor's degree in nursing with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (B)
  2. Have completed an undergraduate statistics course and research methods course with a minimum grade of B (65%) in both
  3. Have a Master's degree in nursing with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (B)
  4. Have obtained a minimum of 3900 clinical hours as a Registered Nurse (RN) with current clinical experience
  5. Be a primary resident of Newfoundland and Labrador and
  6. Be licensed to practice as an RN in Newfoundland and Labrador.

  2. All post-secondary transcripts (does not need to be official)
  3. Confirmation of degree (this can be your transcript, if it states you received your degree, or a photo of your degree)
  4. Proof of English proficiency 
    1. If you studied at an English institution in Canada or the US, your transcript will suffice.

  5. CV
  6. Two reference letters (one professional and one academic)
  7. An employment verification letter or screenshot from your employee portal with your total hours worked as an RN; 
  8. Graduate Nursing Form (NP)
