Membership
Are you a researcher, student, or community member interested in research on aging? We welcome you to apply to become a member of the ARC-NL. Membership categories and applications are found below.
Research Membership
Researchers with a focus on aging from a recognized academic institution (including full-time and part-time faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and academic staff) or employed by a health or community services institution with dedicated time for research are welcome to become Research Members of ARC-NL. Research Members shall normally have a doctoral degree or the terminal degree in their field, exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Research members are expected to promote ARC-NL as well as acknowledge ARC-NL in all grant applications, publications, presentations, and interviews. ARC-NL Research Members support and actively participate in the Centre's activities and events which may include: peer-review of grant and fellowship applications, delivery of academic or plain-language talks, and participation in the Centre's annual meeting. Membership will be reviewed every two years.

- Networking: Access to ARC-NL newsletters; invitation to attend and participate in the ARC-NL Annual Meeting; and frequent opportunities to share knowledge and participate in research with a network of researchers, health professionals, decision-makers, and community members across Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Research Support: Access to lab facilities upon request; access to ARC-NL Participant Pool for researchers and their students; eligibility of researchers and their students to apply for ARC-NL funding opportunities (please refer to specific calls for further eligibility criteria).
- Knowledge Translation Platforms: Access to shared meeting facilities upon request; support for dissemination of research to the public through the ARC newsletter, organization of public presentations, on our website, social media, and through other avenues.

Student Membership
Undergraduate and graduate students with a focus on aging from a recognized academic institution are welcome to become Student Members of ARC-NL. Student Members are expected to promote the ARC-NL as well as acknowledge ARC-NL in all publications, presentations, and interviews. ARC-NL Student Members support and actively participate in the Centre's activities and events which may include: delivery of academic or plain-language talks and participation in the Centre's annual meeting. Membership will be reviewed every two years.

ARC-NL Student Membership Application
Community Membership
Community members with a personal or career interest in aging research are welcome to become Community Members of ARC-NL. Community Members include: older adults; family/caregivers; individuals from government, health care, or other professions; business representatives; and other community members in Newfoundland and Labrador. Community Members support and actively participate in the Centre's activities and events which may include: peer-review of grant and fellowship applications, representation on research projects, and participation in the Centre's annual meeting. Membership will be reviewed every two years.
