Program Overview
The Spring Institute is a co-curricular program that will bring together 20-25 graduate students from the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science for a one-week workshop. Participants will take part in a variety of leadership, communication, reflective-practice and skill-building workshops and explore questions like:
"How can we enhance Memorial University's Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science Graduate Program in order to attract more women and other diverse groups?"
Application Criteria and Selection Process
The selection of participants for the Summer Institute will be a competitive process, while ensuring equal participation by men and women. Preference will be given to graduate students though senior undergraduate students will also be selected, space permitting. Please complete our survey, then fill out and submit the application form by Monday, April 14, 2014.
Selection considerations:
- Statement of interest
- Community involvement
- Perceived likelihood of benefitting from the Institute
- At least 50% of the accepted participants will be women

Preparation
Please complete the Myers-Briggs Personality Type assessment tool. We will be discussing the results during first day of the Institute.
