Research supports evidence-based medical practice. Radiological research is hinged on diverse research engagements where findings from research are used to enhance the quality of patient care.

The Discipline of Radiology at Memorial University supports and promotes research as part of residency training. Our goal is to provide all residents with an understanding of how to analyze the medical literature and apply it to patient care. This is enhanced through regular journal club meetings. Members of the Discipline of Radiology conduct research on a wide variety of topics in radiology, in all areas of medical imaging. Our research interests range from radiology imaging interpretation and application, simulation and communication in radiology, clinical audits to medical education and quality control. Research findings are disseminated through our annual research forum and publication in peer reviewed journals.
